Re: A/C question
Thanks for the quick respons Mark.
After searching the web for saab and evaporator I found a short faq at:
http://www.cybertroll.com/faqtechs.htm The faq indicates that water on
passenger side front floor pan when the A/C is on is a result of a clogged
evaporator drain.
I did not really understand from the faq if this is a problem even I can try
to fix, or if I’m better of leaving the problem to a garage right away.
If fixing this problem is something most people should be able to do on
their own, does anybody know if there is a "step by step" instruction for
this out there on the net somwhere. Or if it is not to much to ask, could
someone please post instruktions here on the NG.
Espen

I am hoping that someone can give me a little help. I have an 89 Turbo 900
that is not starting after a short ride. If you park on an incline, its almost
like the gas isn’t getting out of the tank. My mechanic can’t find anything
wrong because for the last two days, it starts every time for him. Its less of
a problem when the tank is at least 1/2 full.
Thanks,
Randy

I have heard like a million times that transmission fluid can be used in
place of power steering fluid as they are the same thing. Is this true and
if so why are they labeled different and why do they look different?

Brake lights does not work?
1. Check the fuse, its OK.
2. Replace all the bulbs with OEM from Saab.
3. Replace brake switch underneath the dash.
4. Taillight works, Backup light works, and Turn Signal lights work.
Any suggestion would be appreciate….

I removed my SAAB radio the other day in my 9000S. When I put it back in a
day later, I turned it on entered the code and blew a instrument panel fuse
as well as the radio fuse. I replaced the fuses and now keep blowing either
the radio fuse (behind the radio) or the radio/ antenna fuse in the glove
box. Anybody have a clue?

Hi,
I’m looking to replace the factory stereo in my 99′ 9-3 convert. but find the
irregular size 4"X7" is creating problems in finding an an aftermarket
reciever. It’s less than double din size and not quite the size of gm oversized
stereos, both which pioneer and sony make models for.
Anyone have suggestions for an aftermarker cd/receiver or kit that would fit?
thanks,
phil

Hi again
I was going to change the oil in my ’96 900SE, and the plug was really on
tight,,, so I went to "Jiffy Lube" to let them do it. I figured that it was
just because I had a bad angle so I gave in.
I warned them that it was on pretty good, and left them to it. Well,,, they
tried and tried, and really fubard the bolt and gave up.
They told me that this is very common in Saabs, and I need to take it to my
mechanic.
First of all, is this true? and Now What can I do? Hopefully someone has a
little trick up their sleeve!
Thanks
Dave (Come on Ken,,, I’m counting on you)
