Hi!
I am about to purchase a 1972 Saab 96. I am new to Saabs, especially
vintage ones, and need information on where to find parts, hints on
re-doing the interior, and where to find paint codes and formulas (needs
a paint job in the worst way!). Any suggestions, info, web links, etc.
are appreciated! Please reply off list!
Thanks in advance,
Anne

Anyone here driving a 9-3 TID? I do and I had some serious problems with
the engine after 15.000 km’s (ca. 9.400 miles). According to my dealer
it was a production faillure. Discribing the exact problem is a bit
difficult to me since me knwoledge of car techniques is limited and so
is my english when it comes to these kind of things. Bottom-line the car
did only start after trying for minutes. This was getting worse and
worse. In the end it would not start at all!
Sounds familiar to anyone in this group?

Hi
I have a 1997 900s which has just turned 100000 miles and needs a service.
However, I have been informed that at this milage I may be a lot better off
going to an independent dealer for this service.
Is this a good idea and if so where can I find an independent dealer in the
UK, idealy in the West Midalnds.
Regards
JD

I’m looking to find out what sort of problems people have had with
adding kick-ass stereos into their Saabs. I’m in the process right
now, and I’m getting lots of noise and alternator whine.
These are common problems in the car audio world, but I want to know
about people with other Saabs (particulary NG900s), and what they’ve
done to fix it (precise cable routes used, grounding points, any other
upgrades (spark plug wires, alternator, battery, factory grounding
points), etc…) people may have done to fix their problems.
Any tips would be great; my poor car has been ripped apart for a
month!
Thanks,

Hi All,
I’m trying to figure out why my odometer doesn’t work yet the speedometer does.
Also the trip meter doesn’t work either. I guess trip meter isn’t exactly the
right term but its the meter you reset when you want to clock how far it is
between point A and point B. But what really has me puzzled is how can the
speedometer work but the odometer doesn’t. If anyone has an answer or theory
I’d really appreciate your input.
TIA
Allen
