Can anyone recommend where I can get a good cup holder for my
1990 900 SPG? Maybe something made specifically for a Saab?
Thanx

Unfortunately, my 96 900S didn’t come with one of these safety cards
which were made standard in mid-96.
Is it possible for someone to scan one in at a relatively high
resolution (don’t use too much JPEG compression), and either e-mail it
to me, post it here as a binary?
I could then print it out on our new color laser printer.
And it would be less of a hassle than trying to get/buy one from the
dealer.
Thanks once again,
Taufan

Hello,
I have a question to this group. It has been posted before, but I don’t
remember the answer, so I post and see what happens.
My problem is that one of the lights in one of the buttons in the A/C has
gone dead. How does one change them? I don’t think its hard to do, but I
have no idea how I’m supposed to reach the broken bulb.
All and any answers are welcome.
Kind regards, Daniel

I just bought a 900s convertible which I am in love with and am trying to
get a CD play for it. I keep bidding on eBay and being outbid at the last
minute….
Any advice for the best way to get one of these and also for the best model
to go with the factory head unit??
Thanks,
ABG

I’ve recently bought a nice 900S (1995), which I thought was fine, but after
torrential overnight rain, a lot of water had collected in both front foot
wells.
It turns out that the windscreen was replaced (not by a Saab dealer) and the
seals on either side were not replaced properly. In fact, someone had tried
to glue the seals in place, presumably after some water had got in.
Repairs have since been done by Saab, but I need to know –
Is it likely to happen again?
Will any lasting damage have been done to the underside of the car?
Can I be confident that everything is going to be OK??

Weather was nice last weekend, so I decided to do a serious bath & wax
on both my cars.
The leather on the SAAB has been cleaned with LEXOL approximately
every 6 months. This time I noticed that the side, or bolster, area
of the rear and front seats is puckered.
I am talking about an accordian-like appearance to the side of the
front and back seats.
Is this just a weather realated problem? When it gets warm outside
this will go away?
Or is there something wrong with the stitching fron the git-go on
these seats?
Curious,
Bill

Hello everyone,
This morning I had a strange problem with my 83 900 GLi. While waiting at
the traffic lights the car all of a sudden died. I pushed him aside and
after a while (and pushing and re-attaching every seemed to be loose wire)
it started again. My starter engine allways worked but it didn’t seem to
get fuel.
Any ideas please ?

Hello,
I’m new to the Saab world (but I’ve always been a fan).
I was looking to buy a ’96ish 900, but I heard a nasty rumor from
another enthusiast that the 1994+ redesign was "very bad".
He told me that it wasn’t the same car as the 1993 – that Ford handled
the redesign and "screwed it up" – that you could feel the difference
by driving them both comparatively, etc. etc. (he wasn’t very specific).
Does anybody wish to confirm or refute this?
Just using Ford and Saab in the same sentence makes me a bit queasy.
Did Ford have a big part in the redesign?
Do the two styles of car handle very differently?
Are there now large maintenence issues?
Do I have to think of it as an American car?
Your opinion would be appreciated,…
Thanks,
Milt
